What Do I Book? What Do I Get?

The Barista Basics $499 class includes:

Training for up to 20 people 

Barista Basics booklet for every student

4-hour hands on training provided by the coach, customized to your menu including information and training on your supplies, equipment, parts, brewing, espresso, milk, and latte art. 

Barista Basics Diploma 

Not Ready For Class?

Don't worry! You can purchase the Barista Basics manual- this is a printed booklet shipped to you.

Please Note: This is a self taught option and will not be customized to your menu.

Before Booking

Your coffee supplier may be providing this class at no charge to you, The Coffee Coach can correspond with the supplier directly. Please reach out to your supplier to see if this is a service they offer.

Please ensure you can be CLOSED on the date and time you selected for training. Training cannot be done during a shift. Classes will NOT be refunded if they are booked during opening hours. 

One Week Prior To Class

Please ensure you have all of the items listed below if applicable: 

  • Coffee Beans/First Order From Coffee Vendor
  • Milk & Milk Alternatives
  • Syrups & Sauces
  • Syrup & Sauce Pumps
  • Portafilters & Baskets
  • Tamper & Tamping Mat
  • Knockbox
  • Spoons
  • Cups, Lids, etc. 
  • Ice
  • Menu on hand
  • Coffee Dispensers 
  • Tea Dispensers
  • Brew Baskets
  • Coffee Filters
  • Rags

48 Hours Prior To Class

Please confirm with all of your baristas that they will be attending, can arrive on time and that they come prepared for a 4 hour class. 

Please note: Phone use is not acceptable during class unless instructed by Coach.

24 Hours Prior To Class: 

Double check all equipment is functioning this includes your water lines, drains, espresso machine, brewers, refrigerators etc.

1-2 Hours Prior To Class :

If applicable, ensure machines are turned on and getting hot and that your coffee bar is set up with the equipment listed above.
